Rough drafts of programs

As you are working on writting your program to the 50 yard line there are some things to keep in mind:

1. What measurement are you going to use?
2. Be descriptive in what you want your robot to do
3. Try out your program (proofread) often to make sure you are on target

What advice would you give to improve this activity. How could you apply this to the outside world?
