I am really like the Cornell Notes System for taking notes. If you are still having problmes there are some sites to check out that have more info on the system below. My best advice is to stick with it and try to make it your own. In a nutshell you organzie your paper into thirds: the first 2.5 inches starting from the left is for your cue or your the main idea of that day's notes, the next third or 6 inches form the right of your paper is for the notes themselves, and the last third of bottom 2 inches is for the summary of the day's notes.
The que should be the main idea of the days notes. No more than 2 to 3 words max.
The notes sections is for you to jot down things that are new to you, numbers, dates, lists, directions, definitions, etc.
The summary section is just 1 to 2 sentences that wraps up what the above notes are about.

What are some easier ways to measure distance?
Some easier ways to measure distance are:
~Having longer measuring tools. The longer the tool, the lower you have to count.
~Using bigger measuring units such as feet, meters, or miles.
~Using familiar measuring units. The more familiar the easier it will be to measure.

Flow chart question and answer
Question: Is there a simpler way to do a flow chart other than in Microsoft Publisher?
Answer: Yes, there is a simpler way to do a flow chart other than in Microsoft Publisher. In Microsoft Word you can.To get there go to Insert. Then go to Illustrations (below Picture, Clip-Art, Shapes, SmartArt and Chart. After that go to SmartArt. Then 'Choose a SmartArt Graphic' Comes up (don't exit out of it). Then go down to Process. Choose one of the flow charts that are shown. After you have chosen the flow chart you've wanted then click OK on the bottom right hand corner next to Cancel. Type in the steps to your flow chart. Then you have a simpler way to do a flow chart other than in Microsoft Publisher.
How this could be applied in other classes is by someone following directions. For example, in science you have to follow the directions on a lab. Sometimes you have to make it up. But then sometimes your teacher makes it up for you. We also could use it in math to help us remember how to do a problem like when adding integers or numbers.

What do you do to overcome inaccurate measurements?
You can figure out where they really wanted us to do by using logic. You can think of ways of correcting their mistakes by your own directions. You can also do the whole process yourself and write down your own directions and then refer them to the other person’s directions. If the measurements are different (ex. meters and cm) convert them and then follow the other directions. If the measurement is incorrect, think of the best possible answer and then follow the rest of the directions. Sometimes, we misinterpret the writers directions. Read the directions again and see if you missed anything.
How can you use flowcharts in math?
You can use flowcharts in various ways in math. It is helpful for many kids. They can follow the steps easily through flowcharts because we use kid friendly language. They can understand how to evaluate and solve expressions really fast if they use flowcharts. It’s like a patient teacher that waits as long as it has to till the student finally learns.

Flow Chart problem
Kyle & Cameron 10-27-10
period 3
flowchart question
One problem I have about flow charting is that they can get hard to read if there is a lot of shapes with writing in it because you only have a certain amount of space and if you start squishing them together they get really tiny and putting them going a lot of different ways than it can be hard to read.
An answer to this problem is that you can zoom in by using f9 and or use more of the space of the document so that the steps are spread out and then the shapes can be larger.
Capitalize the letter in the first sentence and you can change the word boxes into shapes because they can be diamonds.-Ray
Change the word size a little smaller. It should be small enough to read.-Chester
